Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookies

A recipe my father was obsessed with for a year. These bad boys taste amazing, but man do they feel heavy once they leave your palate.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup white sugar

  • 1 cup cold salted butter, but in cubes

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extrat

  • 2 cups (12 oz) semisweet choclate chips

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 300F.

  • In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt.

  • Add the cold butter and mix to form a grainy paste, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Add eggs and vanilla extract mix at low to medium speed until just blended. Do not over mix.

  • Add the flour mix and chocolate chips and blend at a low speed until mixed. Do not over mix. Refrigerate for 30 min before baking.

  • Drop by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet, two inches apart.

  • Bake 20-22 minutes until golden. Trasnfer to a cold suface immediately.
